In recent years, AI has transformed healthcare, accelerating discoveries in genomics, personalized medicine, and drug development. The integration of AI in genomics has unlocked new possibilities in disease prediction, precision medicine, and targeted therapies. To bridge the gap between industry needs and education, CIG is proud to offer an 8-month online Graduate Certificate in Genetics with AI in Genomics. This program provides comprehensive training in genetic principles, machine learning, deep learning, and AI applications in genomics—preparing graduates for cutting-edge roles in research, biotech, and healthcare innovation.

We are also at the forefront of AI-driven research. CIG has proposed a research project for funding to the National Science Foundation (NSF), focusing on developing an AI platform for early diagnosis and personalized treatment of Parkinson’s Disease (PD). If granted, this initiative will mark a significant breakthrough in neurological research and offer exciting opportunities for our students and faculty to contribute to impactful advancements in healthcare.
